Kinsale GAA :: Match ResultU-11 Hurling South East Championship Final RoundKinsale hung on to defeat Valleys Rovers B in a tight and tense U-11 hurling South East final. Kinsale excelled in the first half with 2 goals from ace corner forward Niall Buckley, Midfielders Niall O Donovan and Aidan McCarthy had a vice like grip and were supplying countless balls into the forwards with Gary Ward, Paraic Keane Kelleher, Liam Griffin, Paul Harrington excelling, fantastic goalkeeping by the Valleys goalie was keeping them in the game. A pointed free from full-back Eoin Scully meant Kinsale went in 2-1 to no score at half time. However the score line changed in the second half with valleys getting off to a flyer with a goal in the first five minutes, the Kinsale backs however fought back with Shane Lannigan, Joe Moriarty, John McCarthy, Shane McCarthy and David O Leary in determined mood. Another goal by valleys left a point between the team with 5 minutes left. Good work from John Murphy, Darragh Feeney, Cian Ring and Kalen O Connor resulted in a Darragh McCarthy point to leave 2 points between the team. Barry McCrory was coolness personified in goal, making a great clearence withthe game entering injury time.Valleys hit back with a point and were unfortunate not to level with 2 frees just sailing wide in added on time. |
