Girls u.12 FOOTBALL

The Kinsale Ladies u12 team started their West Cork League campaign on April 26th 2008. To date, they have played and won four matches.
The team's first match involved a trip down to Baltimore to play Ilen Rovers, with Kinsale winning 5-5 to 1-3. A great performance was given by the whole team on this the start of their campaign.
The second game was a shorter trip down to Ballinspittle to play Courcey Rovers. In lovely sunshine, and a very close match, Kinsale managed to hold out for victory with a final score of 2-3 to 1-3.
Another road trip was on the cards for match three, with the team heading off in convoy to play Gabriel Rangers in Ballydehob. Kinsale were very strong in this encounter and emerged victorious with a winning margin of 5-4 to 1-3.
The fourth and most recent game was against Roscarberry, with Kinsale's home advantage edging through. This was a very fast paced and entertaining game, and although Kinsale dominated the majority of the first half, Roscarberry continued to cause all sorts of problems for the team. The final score ended with a three point win for Kinsale, 0-8 to 0-5.
